Thank you for such a great place to relax and unwind from our hectic San Diego life! We thoroughly enjoyed exploring this beautiful area even though the weather didn't cooperate too much!
Your Suite Sweet was amazing to come "home" to at the end of each day.
Rita & Todd, San Diego, California
What a perfect little apartment. You have thought of everything we might need. The space is clean and very well arranged. We tried & enjoyed the suggested restaurants in Horseshoe Bay. Thanks to the thoughtfully placed bread, fruit & coffee, we enjoyed all our breakfasts "in". :-)
This location worked very well as our jump off point for sailboat shopping in Coal Harbor.
Clyde & Linda, Port Orchard, Washington
Many thanks for your kindness. We had a great week in your nice "suite", We really enjoyed living here.
Louise & Gilles, Montreal
So pleased we found this suite - we usually stay downtown but wanted something different this time and we have not been disappointed. On our first day we went to the Boathouse - certainly recommend - it's a must. At Whytecliff Park we saw sea otters and quiet, lovely walk through wood to village. Bowen Island and Langdale (Gibsons) well worth visiting. We had an awesome time. Thank you.
Anita & Phillip, Somerset, England
Thanks you so much fro your "Suite, Sweet Suite". This was a wonderful stay and it was perfect for our holiday-tour. It's my second visit to Canada and my first to Vancouver & Horseshoe Bay. The people, the community, the Pacific and the sun - it's fantastic and beautiful. :-) We hope you find nice people for your lovely suite. We feel good in your home and nature.
Martina & Silke, Germany
What a great find!! Wonderful location and feels like home. Space was well laid out. Everything we needed was available to us and our stay was wonderful.
Maria & Richard, Ontario, Canada
A little 'gem'! Very comfortable and homey. Loved the village and area. Ate every night down at the harbour area. Great food. Perfect location for visiting attractions. Thank you!
Terry & Yvonne, Stafforshire, England
We stayed here for one week and enjoyed it all the time. The "Suite Sweet Suite" is perfectly equipped with everything you need and additionally offers the luxury of having your own private yard that we enjoyed every single day! Thank you so much for being such a great host and also for the treats like the apricot bread and the fruits.
Brigitte & Ursula, Munich, Germany
We loved our week here!
As so many before us have found, this is a wonderful suite, with a lovely, private garden, in a beautiful setting - Horseshoe Bay.
We've appreciated the owners' thoughtfulness: welcoming treats in the super-equipped kitchen; a surprising number of every day needs provided for; and a beautifully decorated and comfortable place to come home to.
We enjoyed the village itself and a delicious lunch at Olive & Anchor. The lovely ferry ride to Bowen Island was relaxing and walking around the island enjoyable.
We like the especially nice suspension bridge in Lynn Canyon and the great view of the city from the Cypress Park Road overlook.
Vancouver's public gardens provide wonderful walks, the Museum of Anthropology has great NW Coast artifacts and the UBC campus is beautiful. The Granville Island Market is astonishing and alot of fun, as is walking on the Seawall. We loved the jellies at the Aquarium and much, much more.
Thank you for sharing your home.
Rick & Rowene, Pasadena California
I loved the apartment - everything was great. We will definately stay here again if we come back.
Velvet & Barret
I felt so totally comfortable at this place. The customer service was amazing and the hosts were absolutely charming. It really did feel like home and so amazingly private and extremely clean and well appointed. Everything I needed was there, even some Starbucks coffee for the first morning. I'd go back in an instant.
I was absolutely amazed at this wonderfully contained "home away from home" apt. We arrived to a pristinely cleaned and very well appointed unit which had everything we needed to enjoy our stay, right down to an ironing board (which indeed came in handy). The bed was so comfortable and the living area was open and bright, looking out to our very private sanctuary. Terry has done an exellent job of "creating" a space to come visit again and again.
Thank you for our most enjoayable and hospitable stay. We'll most certainly come again..!!!!
The surrounding attractions were great. We ate at the Famous Trolls restaurant in Horshoe Bay as well as the Olive and Anchor. Both were worth the price of admission.
Thank you! What a wonderful little getaway. We enjoyed ourselves immensely. Coming up from Seattle Thursday night, we jumped right into exploring Vancouver early Friday morning. Whytecliff Park & Lighthouse Park were first on the agenda. Great parks w/ some spectacular views. The walk out to the far end of the Whytecliff park island was especially stunning. The rest of the day was spent atop Grouse Mtn. where we snowshoed 5 hours and caught the sunset over the city of Vancouver. Saturday, despite our legs feeling quite sore, we tackled a snowshoe excursion to the top of Dog Mountain. What an unbelievable view. From there we came back to enjoy the oasis you've created in this front yard; laying in the grass, sipping on some beer and enjoying the 60o (F) weather. Hope to make it back here some day soon.
Mike, Kelli & (baby) Nora
Thank you - your apartment is so
perfect, what else can we say? You thought
of everything to make our stay wonderful.
Hope to be here again.
All the best - Richard and Marie-Jose
a wonderful stay. Transit and a friendly,
neighbour, we arrived to find a cozy
perfectly appointed suite with everything
to make a home away from home - plus
coffee, fruit and our favourite bread -
how did you know? We enjoyed three days of
adventuring. Thanks for marking the
walking paths and for the restaurant
suggestions. We enjoyed Bay Moorings and
Olive and Anchor. Also discovered Hugo's at
the end of Canada Trail [SeaView Walk] at
Eagle Harbour. Thanks for the umbrella -
thankfully we were home by the time rain
started each day but it was a comfort to
have one along just in case.
Island trek around Killarney Lake -
magnificent! The wild part of Whytecliff and Lighthouse Park trails were also
fantastic. Our legs are tired but it was
so great to experience green in February
and return to relax in a "sweet" suite.
and Rod from Sherwood Park, Alberta
Thank you for a wonderful stay! We
enjoyed your suite very much. It was like
a home away from home. You have everything
we needed and we love the nice touch of
coffee, fruit and bread. We are so glad we
decided to stay here instead of a hotel.
What a great location too! Thank you.
Michelle and Peter from Vancouver Island
Clean and Cosy
This cozy little getup is a
one-bedroom apartment, attached to the
home of the innkeeper. It has its own
parking spot, private yard, laundry,
kitchen, bath, etc. We spent the majority
of our time exploring the city and were
there mostly in the evenings. The place
was clean and the bed was comfortable.
We arrived to freshly made muffins, French
coffee press, and our own stock of
Starbucks coffee, which was a nice touch.
Thank you, Terry!
Quiet, clean restful space to
enjoy some solitude.
We truly enjoyed our stay at the
Sweet Suite. It is quiet, clean and
comfortable. My husband and 6 year old
son stayed here during our visit to our
older son who is attending Quest
University in Squamish. The access to
Squamish and Vancouver is very
convenient. It is an easy 30 minute
drive to Squamish and an equally easy 15
minute drive to Vancouver. Terry
provided fruit, a lovely loaf of Cob's
bread and some great coffee with milk
for our stay. This was a nice added
touch. Certainly not expected, but
absolutely enjoyed. Would absolutely
recommend this space for anyone who
wants to enjoy a quiet, comfortable
peaceful visit to Vancouver.
We loved the furnished kitchen,
available laundry and quiet neighborhood.
Had no problem with making the short drive
into downtown for sight seeing each
morning. Loved coming back to a place that
felt like home and having a parking spot
waiting for us. The arrival gifts in the
kitchen was a nice touch as well. We would
definitely stay here again.
~ Daniel and Cassie from WA, USA
Really impressive little Sweet
Suite. We enjoyed it very much. It
was lovely getting up to fresh Starbucks
Coffee, buns and fruit. Thanks again.

We stayed in your home for 14
days and it was wonderful. The
suite is very comfortable and the
landscape and the environment is great.
Thanks and all the best for you!
~ Doris & Artur from Germany
We loved staying in this
wonderful "suite", hidden away
from the busy city. The location was
perfect and had all the comforts of home.
We loved walking down to the bay for
dinner. The ferry to Bowen is a fun trip.
We ventured into downtown for the Granville Island Public Market which was a
lot of fun. When we travel back to
Vancouver we will definitely try to stay
here at the suite, sweet suite again, much
~ Colleen & Geoff from Utah, USA
Thank you so much for allowing us
to stay here! We loved this place
- the tasteful decor, amenities, attention
to detail. The bread was delicious as
well. We loved the Horseshoe Bay area and
visited here as well as Bowen Island for
kayaking and hiking. We've had a great
time in Vancouver - I'm sure the first of
many trips to come. Thanks again for your
~ Evan & Christina from Detroit, MI
Very sweet stay in your sweet
suite. Thanks for your great
welcome and very good time here - even if
it was so short.
~ Valerie, Michel and Paul from France
Thank you very much Terry and Doug,
for a bowl of fruit, apricot and raisin
bread, coffee and milk. A welcome worthy
of the Michelin guide. The suite was
simply superb, clean, comfortable and
spacious. All with a garden to enjoy a
coffee and good time. Very well located
near the airport of Vancouver, Stanley
Park, Whistler, easy access. Now I know
where to put my luggage in BC: Suite, Sweet Suite.
~ Michel from Montréal Québec
Thank you for providing a home away from home.
Your Suite Sweet Suite is so comfortable and we enjoyed the
serene quiet location. We will be back to enjoy another day

~ Tracy and Jed from Hawaii
What a wonderful place and location. We had
such a great time. Couldn't have asked for a better quaint
and quiet place to stay. Truly a home away from home. We
definitely did a lot while here but didn't stay long enough
to do the many activities on our list. Thank you for your
~ Nilushka & Joe
My wife surprised me with a weekend getaway
trip to the Vancouver area and had booked the Suite, Sweet
Suite. What a great place. The first moment we pulled up we
were smiling. Having had a baby three months ago it was so
nice having such a quiet area to relax and enjoy. Really
nice walk to Horseshoe Bay and great food and shops. Easy
drive to Vancouver as well. Perfect location and very happy
with this place. The owners are very friendly and you feel
as if no one else even lives around here. We will miss the
little "Hobbit Hole".
~ Garett & Megan
In this cosy little sweet suite we started our days
with a breakfast prepared in the wonderful kitchen enjoying
the morning sun shining through the window in the roof. Then
we explored the beautiful nature and breathtaking wildlife
such as bald eagles, seals, star fishes, racoons and many
more in the Lighthouse Park, the suspension bridges and
various trails around. It was also fun to go snow tubing at
Whistler on a warm and sunny day. After a day full of
adventure we loved returning to this sweet suite to prepare
a nice dinner and enjoy the peaceful evening.
Thank you very much for your hospitality. We had a great
stay. All the best for you!
~ Hendrik & Enrico from Germany
We absolutely loved our 4 days in Sweet Suite. So
much better than staying in a hotel, and it's in one of the
beautiful pockets of Vancouver...that is Horseshoe Bay.
The suite has everything you would need to make your stay
very comfortable, from the fully equipped kitchen, washing
machine & dryer, huge comfy bed, cosy lounge and even a
private deck facing onto your own private garden.
We also loved the freedom to come and go as we pleased and
the hands-off approach of Terry & Doug...but they are just
next door if needed. We also got lucky with 3 Sunny Days in
a ROW! Bonus!
~ Blaine & Yasmin from South Africa & Germany
Thank you so much for the stay. Your little
"Suite" is very nice - so quiet etc.
Will call again later in the year. Perhaps you might have a
few days open at that time.
~ Cheers Marianne & Don from Victoria, BC
a very cozy pad, in a great location, spotless
with extras we did not expect like the good coffee on
the counter and milk in the fridge, fruit and really good
raisin bread for the morning. We were at a course at the
West Vancouver yacht club which was 5 minute drive away.
Really nice location close to restaurants. Will use it again
if we return.
We really enjoyed our
stay at this suite. Thanks you so much for the
amazing accommodations. It has every thing you could
possibly want or need and the surrounding area is
breathtaking. I hope one day we can model our house after
this quaint little suite.
~ Emily & Bradley
Loved all of it! Well done. Wonderful restful few
days - getaway with best friend - girls escape!!
~ Brenda & Charmaine
Perfect accommodation - just what I needed! No
stuffy hotel rooms, room service or cramped rooms. This is a
home from home. Always a great stay in Vancouver! Hope to
stay again sometime soon.
~ Julie W. from Perth,
Thank you. It was amazing, beautiful - perfect. We
will be back.

Thank you for a wonderful stay in your suite. The
location was great for us and we had absolutely everything
we needed in the suite.
~ Caroline & Kevin, UK
Had a great first visit to Vancouver, very
friendly city, great bus service, good food. Enjoyed our
stay at Suite, Sweet Suite. Terry was a fine host. Nothing
is too much trouble to her. Thanks for Mark's studio.
~ Mary, Alistair & Mark,
We have just returned from spending 8 nights in this
wonderful retreat. Pictures posted do not do justice to
the level of cleanliness and attention to detail of this
wonderful VRBO suite. The kitchen was so well equipped that
I was able to prepare meals to take to our family with new 2
week old grandson. The view in to the private garden was
lovely and we so enjoyed the wonderful weather on the deck.
We most certainly will return for future family visits in
West Vancouver. By being in Horseshoe Bay, one is in Greater
Vancouver, minutes away from downtown Vancouver, while
enjoying the feeling of a small community in the suburbs.
Wonderful hosts, as mentioned in other reviews!
~ Jane and Bob from Grand
Thank you both. Great location.
~ Darwin & Jamie, Colorado
We very much appreciated our time here in your lovely
suite. The accommodations are 5 star! Terry made us feel
so welcome and our stay was truly sweet. The suggestion of a
day trip to Bowen Island was perfect. Our family here joined
us for the day, and the guys rented kayaks while the gals
hiked there. We had them all (6) join us here for dinner and
they were also very impressed with the suite. We hope to
return one day.
and Jim from Vista, California
After a wet and dreary start to our stay the weather
warmed up considerably. We were very grateful for the
shady garden retreat. We found the suite had everything we
needed to make a perfectly comfortable stay. As we were
already familiar with the area we did not explore too far
afield but places we would recommend: Lighthouse Park along
Marine Drive. If driving into downtown beware the $2-$3 per
hour parking charges. We found 2 hour free parking in the
Olympic Village and walked the 2 km to Granville Island -
great views of downtown. If using the bus to downtown avoid
Friday afternoon - the ferry and bus are very busy.
Altogether we had a relaxing 10 days. Thank you for your
Elaine and Robert from the UK
Thank you Terry for the wonderful stay ~ we
felt so comfortable in your Sweet Suite! Thanks again for everything.
~ Bonnie & Bob from Chicago
The suite was very comfortable and very well
equipped. It was the perfect suite for our first stay in Vancouver.
Especially the location - Horseshoe Bay is an amazing spot
and the perfect starting point for your trips. Some of our
highlights on our vacation in Vancouver were the down hill
tour in the bike park of Whistler, the great hiking trails
everywhere, our meeting with the grizzly bears on Grouse
We hope we will have the chance to revisit Vancouver and
stay at your suite once more.
Cheers, Gisa and Reiner from Germany
We ended up staying an extra day. Thank
you. We enjoyed our visit very much. Hoping to be back again
~ Diana from Alberta
Thank you so much for the wonderful stay at
Suite, Sweet Suite. This was the perfect place to easily
access Vancouver, Whistler and other area outdoor
adventures. The apartment was beautiful and provided more
than we needed. We'll certainly recommend Suite, Sweet Suite
to anyone staying in the Vancouver area, and hope to be back
soon with "Junior" in tow!

All the way from San Francisco to spend Christmas with the family. Your "Sweet" felt like home. Cosy, friendly, easy - a perfect getaway. We thank you for your hospitality...made beautiful with your special touches. Kind regards.

Thanks for letting us use your lovely suite. It suited our needs perfectly and we enjoyed it very much. Thanks also for the fruit bread and coffee - delicious! Looking forward to staying with you again!

It's been a pleasure to begin and end our long
journey here. We'll miss the beautiful surrounding of this
lovely area. Thank you for everything.
~ Elena & Jesús from Madrid, Spain
Thank you Terry, I loved your suite. Quiet,
comfortable and lovely.
~ RoseAnne from Canada
Thank you for the wonderful accommodations. It was
a real treat to enter through the gate into a private garden,
then into such a delightful suite. I'm amazed that for a
lower price than nearby hotels, one can enjoy access to a
completely fitted kitchen, laundry facilities, a comfortable
living room, and a lovely bedroom. Everything I needed was
within easy reach, and thoughtfully designed. The bus ride up
the hill and the walk down to the ferry terminal were both
easy enough and pleasant in the lovely August weather. It's a
very nice option for people who want to stay near the ferry,
as I did, or for those who want to stay near the city, but not
directly in it. I enjoyed staying in your beautiful space--I
only wish I could have stayed longer! Another time perhaps.
~ Suzanne from Vancouver
Thank you for the "Sweet" suite. I love this
little place. We had so much to do and we were able to
relax. What a treat.
~ Jeanee & Phil from Oregon
Thank you very much once again for all your
kindness during our stay here at Suite, Sweet Suite!. We
really enjoyed the time in this lovely apartment at this
beautiful location...and your kind hospitality made it twice
We hope to come again some day! Looking forward to
seeing you again! Yours,
~ Teja & Yasuyo from Osaka, Japan
Dear Ms Terry....Thank You for making my first trip
out of my country amazing. We went to Canada to escape
the unbearable heat in Austin Texas in 2011. I really
enjoyed the private garden, the tall beautiful trees, the
spare mattress I could throw on the floor to sleep or watch
TV. It was fun to play outside all day and walk all those
trails in the parks and forests. Staying at your cottage was
much better than any hotel and the little town was fun to
visit. I also want to thank you very much for my Gecko
earrings. My papa bought me a matching hat at the airport on
our trip back home. I already told my papa that I want to
move to Vancouver when I am an adult and we hope to go visit
you again. My papa wants to say thank you for the
hospitality and for helping us during our stay. You really
made our visit great.... Hope to see you soon..
~ Daphne (Age 8) and Her Papa from Austin, TX
We had an enjoyable time in your lovely house.
The trails and harbour were great! Vancouver was fun as
well. Thanks for making this an exciting trip.
~ Dan & Luba from Edmonton
As a single woman traveler,
Suite, Sweet Suite was perfect for me. I walked down to the
village of Horseshoe
every night for dinner and to take the
Ferry to Bowen Island. Terry was very
helpful in guiding me on my walks to
nearby beaches and parks. I
think my favorite was
Stanley Park – lots of walking trails and
It's my first visit to Vancouver and what a beautiful place it
is! I can't wait to come back. I really enjoyed this quaint
little suite and it's location.
~ Debbie from Harrison, Ohio
This accommodation is a 'gem' in a beautiful
location. The 'suite' was exceptional in all aspects, and
everything you could want and need to be self-sufficient was
provided. I plan to return and enjoy more time with friendly
hosts, Terry and Doug, in this fantastic location.
John M. from Perth, Australia
From the first communication with Terry and Doug via Internet
we knew we would enjoy our stay here. So clean and tidy - we
came back again. Terry and Doug were so helpful and kind.
Such lovely people who opened their home to us like old friends.
The apartment was beautiful, modern and spacious. There is
everything you need for a comfortable stay. The bed was so
wonderful, I wanted to take it home with me. Terry and Doug -
thank you for everything and making my
dream holiday even more
special. Love to you both.
~ Karen and Paul from the UK
Our stay in the Suite, Sweet Suite was a truly memorable one.
From the extremely well appointed apartment with everything you
could possibly wish for to the breathtaking views from the
village of Horseshoe Bay. We are so glad that we did not stay in
the city as we would have missed this wonderful experience.
Everyone has been extremely helpful from the beautiful hosts
Terry & Doug to the bus drivers who are always happy to give
advice. Dinner at Ya Ya's
& anchor » is not to be missed. They have the
most delicious molten chocolate pudding, quite sinful really. We
are privileged to have had such a wonderful journey.
PS - Thanks
for the fantastic weather.
~ Leigh and Lauraine from Gisbourne, Victoria, Australia
A very welcoming and homely apartment in a wonderful location
giving easy access to local beaches, ferries to the islands and
close to the main route to Whistler. The commute into Downtown
Vancouver took me 25 minutes at peak time. Terry and her husband
made us very welcome - it was more akin to visiting family than
~ V and C Bryant from UK
Perfect location! Out of the city and close to
parks and nature, beaches and hiking trails.
Best memory was the
circle route hike up to Wyhte Lake. The
start of the trail is just 5 minutes walk towards the
mountain, near the ferry pay booths. The trail leads
to a man-made boardwalk which crosses over a stream and then
to Whyte Lake where you can stop and sit and enjoy the view.
Just before the lake there is a beautifully built, hand-hewn
outhouse that looks like a wee log cabin. The forest floor is
thick with ferns and we stopped often to admire the giant
We walked down to Horseshoe Bay, took the 20 minute ferry ride
to Bowen Island and happened upon
Bowen Island Sea Kayaking
right at the dock. Martin guided us on the "Famous Three Hour
Tour". Lots of
great restaurants and quaint stores right in
Snug Cove and also up at Artisan Square.
There are lots of restaurants in Horseshoe Bay and one
small grocery store. We found that nearby
Caulfield Village Shopping Centre
had everything we needed to prepare our own meals.
We will definitely be back to this neck-of-the-woods and I
would not hesitate to stay in this lovely suite.
~ Ian and Jean from Boulder, Colorado
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Suite, Sweet Suite. Everything
was welcoming, from our hosts, to the front garden and the warmth
of the atmosphere created by great décor. The suite was very
spacious and allowed us to spread our wings after the cramped
quarters of our boat cabin. Everything you could possibly want
was at your fingertips. The washer and dryer were well used. We
lapped up the quiet ambience of Horseshoe Bay and when we
reluctantly left after 3 nights, we were relaxed and refreshed.
It was a truly memorable experience.
~ Pam and Tom from Melbourne, Australia
We had the opportunity to stay in this gorgeous apartment suite
during our visit to the Olympics. The suite is very modern and
in pristine condition with every amenity you could
want--dishwasher, washer/dryer, coffee pot (complete with coffee
and fresh cream considerately left by the hosts)--and more
(think: flat screen TV in bedroom, garlic press and lemon reamer in kitchen!). The suite easily fits two but we were able to get
four people in there by using an air mattress.
The suite itself
is quiet (we could hear no noise from the main house) and the neighborhood
is quiet and peaceful. The suite is located just a
short walk to a frequent bus line (both express and local
buses) that takes you right downtown in 20-40 minutes (maybe
even more quickly when there is no Olympic rush). Taxi is also
an option. Finally, the surrounding scenery is gorgeous! Lush
greenery, snow-capped mountains in the distance, Horseshoe Bay
and a ferry service right down the hill. We would go back and
stay in a heartbeat-- Highly recommended!
~ Danielle B. from New York
Very comfortable and tastefully furnished suite with modern
decor and appliances. Private entrance through a lovely garden
and patio. Very quiet with no audible noise from the street or
the rest of the building. A big skylight and large windows kept
the space nice and bright. Shockingly good selection of kitchen
and small wares. Convenient to the bus and a short walk to the
village, scenic bus ride into Vancouver.
~ Christabel from Victoria, BC
